Vail Healthspan: Initial & Ongoing Diagnostics

Every Vail Healthspan journey begins with a series of diagnostics that establish your baseline and provide clear markers for measuring progress throughout the 8-month program. These assessments and consultations are designed to give you a comprehensive picture of your current health and create a roadmap for improvement. Common components include:

  • Mindset Optimization Intake - a structured intake to assess readiness for lifestyle change, providing insight into resilience and areas for mental performance support.

  • Thrive Assessment - an in-person evaluation with our health coaches that measures body composition, metabolic rate, mobility, posture, strength, and VO₂ max. This baseline guides personalized programming and tracks progress over time.

  • Mini Thrive Assessment - a focused follow-up including body composition, labs, grip strength, and select strength tests to monitor progress with precision.

  • Resting Metabolic Rate Testing - using PNOE technology, we measure true resting metabolism to provide accurate guidance for nutrition and fueling strategies.

  • Body Composition Testing - InBody analysis evaluates visceral fat, skeletal muscle mass, and body fat percentage, offering a detailed picture of body composition.

  • Comprehensive Blood Panel - a curated Healthspan functional medicine panel, with additional tests tailored to each client. This approach is designed to detect underlying risks, uncover hidden imbalances, and provide a foundation for optimizing long-term health.

  • 3D Functional Movement Assessment - Kinetisense technology provides objective measures of movement quality, stability, posture, and fall risk to reduce injury potential.

  • Strength Testing - Keiser equipment quantifies velocity and power in upper (press and pull) and lower (press) body movements, offering data-driven strength insights.

  • Grip Strength - an established biomarker of longevity, assessing peak force and rate of force development compared to age-based norms.

  • Blood Lactate Testing - measures lactate thresholds to evaluate endurance capacity, recovery efficiency, and aerobic performance.

  • CGM Coaching & Monitoring - continuous glucose monitoring (CGM), interpreted by our care team, to improve metabolic health and optimize blood sugar regulation.
