Program Components

To kickoff the Vail Healthspan program's Summit track, participants will complete a: 
  • Mindset Optimization Intake - meet 1:1 with a Vail Health Behavioral Health professional to evaluate baseline mental health, lifestyle habits, and readiness to take the next step in your health journey.
     
  • Thrive Assessment - a comprehensive evaluation of your metabolic health, fitness, body composition, and strength using advanced diagnostics and testing.
Summit track members will have the following access to their Healthspan Care Team:
  • Health Coach Consultations - meet with a Vail Healthspan health coach to determine your personalized goals and training plan to elevate your lifestyle. 
    • Summit members will receive a Weekly Personalized Training Plan from their health coach through TrainingPeaks. Each week, Vail Healthspan coaches will upload training plans, provide feedback and answer their Summit program member's questions.
       
  • Functional Medicine Appointments - meet with one of our Vail Health Functional & Lifestyle Medicine providers to review bloodwork results, health history and concerns, and evaluate lifestyle interventions and program goals. 
    • Summit track membership includes monthly follow up appointments throughout their program.
       
  • Nutritionist Consultations - meet with one of our licensed nutritionists to determine diet goals based off initial Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) test results and takeaway actionable tips to improving overall nutrition.
    • Summit track membership includes monthly follow up meetings with Healthspan nutritionists.
    • Summit members will receive premium account access to MyFitnessPal to track daily nutrition and easily share data directly with the Healthspan nutrition team.
       
  • Behavioral Health Consultation - a monthly follow up 1:1 with a Vail Health Behavioral Health professional to assess current mental health and lifestyle habits.
     
  • Sleep Optimization Coaching - a five-week program developed under Dr. Ashley Mason, combining group and individual strategies to improve sleep quality and recovery. Led by Healthspan clinicians trained in Dr. Ashley Mason’s Healthspan Sleep Optimization Protocol.
Summit track members will have the following access to:
  • TrainingPeaks Premium Account - access to weekly training plans online and on-the-go through a premium TrainingPeaks account.
     
  • MyFitnessPal Premium Account - access to nutrition tracking and diet progress with enhanced Healthspan nutritionist support.
     
  • Oura Ring Membership - eight month access to Oura ring tracking and biometric data.
     
  • Monthly Inservice with Josiah Middaugh - exclusive monthly access to XTERRA World Champion Josiah Middaugh for direct training insights and performance guidance. 
     
  • Sleep Optimization Program - a five-week program developed under Dr. Ashley Mason, combining group and individual strategies to improve sleep quality and recovery. Led by Healthspan clinicians trained in Dr. Ashley Mason’s Healthspan Sleep Optimization Protocol.
     
  • Masterclass Library - learn from our team on a variety of healthspan and wellness topics geared to support you throughout your health journey.
     
  • Monthly Healthspan Community Events - join our community for planned activations and meet-ups throughout each month. Make connections and grow together!
     
  • Online Community Cohorts - many of our members will be on the same journey to better health. Connect with likeminded individuals through online groups to create your own community of encouragement and understanding.
     
  • In-Person Groups - connect with likeminded individuals through dedicated in-person support groups to enhance your Healthspan experience.
Every month, Summit track members receive:
  • InBody Body Composition Analysis - accurately track overall health and wellness and program progress through continued monthly measurement of body composition (muscle, fat, water and protein) with the InBody 970S.
     
  • Nutritionist Follow Up - an appointment with one of our Healthspan nutritionists to review dietary questions and program progress.
     
  • Functional Medicine Follow Up - an appointment with one of our Vail Health Functional & Lifestyle Medicine providers to review most recent bloodwork results and program progress.
     
At the 4-month mark, Summit track members will receive:
  • Mini-Thrive Assessment - a mid-point evaluation of your body composition and strength improvements using advanced diagnostics and testing.

At the end of the 8-month program, Summit track members will receive:
  • Final Thrive Assessment - a comprehensive evaluation of your metabolic health, fitness, body composition, and strength using advanced diagnostics and testing.

Self-Directed Option

Already working with a health coach or following a training program you love? You can still join the Summit Track. Our Vail Healthspan team will review your current plan and, if it’s a good fit, integrate you into our hybrid Self-Directed Summit Track.

Thrive Assessment

After an initial mindset intake call and required program form completion, each Vail Healthspan program will begin with a Thrive Assessment to determine your overall health baseline. Program progress will be tracked overtime through a mid-point Mini-Thrive (Elevate and Summit tracks) and final Thrive Assessment (all tracks), in addition to scheduled check-ins with your Healthspan Care Team.

Thrive Assessment includes:
  • Comprehensive Blood Draw Panel (fasted)** a curated Healthspan functional medicine panel, designed to detect underlying risks, uncover hidden imbalances, and provide a foundation for optimizing long-term health.
  • Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) Test (fasted) assessing metabolic health.
  • VO2 Max Test a measure of oxygen-processing capacity, and the most powerful predictor of metabolic age and longevity.
  • InBody Scan analyzing current body composition.
  • Kinetisense 3D Functional Movement Assessment a markerless movement analysis.
  • Keiser Strength Training Assessment testing lower body, push and pull strength.
  • Dynamometer Grip Strength Assessment assessing overall physical strength.
  Additional Thrive Tests available for our Summit track include:
  • Blood Lactate Test evaluating endurance, recovery and performance capacity.
  • Continuous Glucose Monitor (CGM) Coaching closely monitoring blood glucose levels to improve metabolic health and blood sugar regulation.
